Over the last three years I have combined my own work with training to become a teacher. I am very interested in collaborative work both within the wider community and in my teaching. I have taught within a community arts context for several years and have just qualified as a teacher with a PGCE studying at night class. I acquired this qualification whilst teaching Access to Higher Education in Art and Design and Higher National Diploma in Contemporary Crafts in a FE environment.

I also teach on a part time basis in primary schools and independent schools. I have good communication skills and find I am able to teach both adults and children who often have low self esteem and have had problems with academic achievement. I enjoy a challenge and approach problems with a positive attitude. I believe education to be an important tool in changing lives for the better.
